MEMBERSHIP INFORMATION

We meet on the 2nd Monday of every month, from 7:00-8:00pm.

• If you are learning something, it's EDUCATION.

• If you are serving or teaching others, it's SERVICE.

• If you're making money, it's FINANCE.

• If you're helping run the chapter, it's ADMINISTRATION.

In order to maintain an accurate picture of chapter work, the chapter of NAJA have agreed that:

• The individual chapter establishes its own service hour requirement in keeping with an effective program of service. No chapter can require less than 24 service hours per member per year.

• Each member is required to accrue 12 education hours per year, of which six chapter meetings must apply toward the annual education requirement.

• Half hours are not counted. Round hours up to the next whole number.

• Hours cannot be counted twice. Credit to only one category - either admin, education, finance, or service.

• Travel hours to and from annual and area meetings cannot be counted.

• The final decisional as to what counts as an education hour rests with the chapter's board.

• All hours accrued by a Provisional are recorded as Provisional hours and are listed as education.

• Hours of Associate/Life members are counted separately from hours of active chapter/members.

There are times when chapters may unconsciously shift the focus of their attention from service work to finance projects or admin. Sometimes there are extenuating circumstances which cause administrative hours to be high, such working at the national or regional level, but service should ALWAYS receive the bulk of the chapter's time and attention. The chapter should never place greater emphasis on finance or administrative hours. Charitable services e and education are the major concerns of Junior Auxiliary.

First-Year Provisional Members: 30 hours by May 1, 2026

Active Members (After Year 1): 54 hours for each fiscal year

Applications for the 2025-2026 Provisional Class are currently already closed. Typically, applications are opened in May with a cut off during the first week of July.
